Course Description
In this Windows 2008 Server online training course, you will gain an understanding of Windows 2008 Server management and maintenance. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Configuration helps prepare you for the 70-640 exam as well as for the real world. In this second part of a three part course, we will focus on Windows 2008 Server Administration, Working with Group Policy, managing Group Policy Scope, Supporting Group Policy, Delegation, Managing Security, Deploying Software through GPO and Auditing and a lot more. The skills learned include creating, configuring, modifying GPOs and describe software lifecycle. Also students will have the knowledge to implement and maintain DNS.
In order to take this course you need to have taken Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 1 and have basic TCP/IP knowledge and navigation of Windows.
Once you have completed Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 2 the next course in this series is Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 3. The Configuration Part 3 course will continue building your knowledge through discussing how to install, configure, modify Windows 2008 Server Domain Controller, configure Active Directory Files Services Roles, and be able to implement and maintaining Active Directory and perform proactive maintenance on Active Directory databases.
