Secret #1:<\/span> Certification Is A Business<\/strong><\/p>\n Before you take the plunge, make sure you know all there is to know about what it takes to get certified in a particular area.\u00a0 Do you need formal training to sit for an exam?\u00a0 Do you need to have worked in a field for a certain amount of time?\u00a0 What is the cost of the exam?\u00a0 What is their re-take policy?\u00a0 Here is a link to the GogoTraining Certification <\/a>pages that give you the inside scoop on many certification programs.<\/p>\n Secret #2:<\/span> Formal Training May Not Be Required<\/strong><\/p>\n Not every certification program requires you to take a formal course before taking their exams.\u00a0 For example, ITIL Foundations certification does not require you to have taken the ITIL Foundations course before you take the exam.\u00a0 However, all intermediate ITIL exams require you to take an officially sponsored courses.\u00a0 Make sure you do your homework<\/a> before you take training that you may not need.
