Course Description
This Microsoft Windows Server 2008 online training course, Part 2 of a two-part series, provides a solid foundation in configuring a network infrastructure and prepares you to take exam 70-642. Training topics include Network Address Translation (NAT), Configuring Wireless Networks, Connecting to Remote Networks, Configuring Windows Firewall, Configuring Network Access Protection, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Using WSUS, Monitoring Event Logs, Monitoring Performance and Reliability, Managing File Security, File Shares and configuring printers.
In order to take this course you need to have taken Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuring a Network Infrastructure Part 1, Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and have a solid foundation-level understanding of Microsoft server operating systems and internet technologies.

When you pass Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring, you complete the requirements for the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring certification.
This exam also counts as credit toward the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator certifications.
