Michael L. Simpson
Mr. Simpson's career as a Knowledge Engineer, developer and instructor have afforded him the opportunity to develop a unique set of skills for assembling, interpreting, managing and disseminating knowledge. Mr. Simpson has created almost one hundred weeklong training courses in diverse technical areas and supervised the development of over fifty others. He has conducted extended knowledge acquisition interviews of senior engineering and technical staff, completed assessments of technical knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer situations, and written extensive responses to commercial and military bids. He has managed the development and monitored the performance of hundreds of classroom instructors and achieved consistent, on-time and on-budget deliveries in challenging environments and difficult situations. Mr. Simpson has over seventeen years of experience managing and supervising the development of instructors, and an additional ten years of experience in development and delivery of customized, high-quality training materials. He has deep, broad experience in assessing situations that require instruction and knowledge transfer, developing assessments to establish a baseline level of knowledge for prospective students, performing object-oriented analysis, design, and business-process reengineering tasks, creating training programs that are appropriate for adult professional education, estimating the development time and delivery costs for creating software programs and associated training, managing the development and delivery of that instruction, and conducting post-training assessments to certify and quantify the results of this training. Mr. Simpson's diverse technical background allows him to quickly determine a client's needs; design training to meet those needs; and manage the development and delivery of cost-effective, client-centered training.
