Certification
Linux System Administration Parts 1 and 2, along with Linux Essentials prepare you to take the EX200 Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam given by Red Hat. This course uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux V5. In order to prepare for the certification exam, you will need to be aware of the following changes in V6:
- Create and Configure File Systems -Mount, unmount and use LUKS-encrypted file systems. More information about this can be found at: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/EncryptedFilesystem
- Manage Security -The RHCSA for RHEL 6 includes more emphasis on SELinux configuration including viewing and setting enforcement modes, viewing and setting file and process context, and diagnosing SELinux policy violations. More information about this can be found at: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/SELinux
- Software RAID is no longer an RHCSA topic and NIS is no longer a directory service covered under RHCSA topics.
Successful completion of this exam and Red Hat Linux Networking Administration course, will prepare you for the EX300 Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam.
