Course Description
This Microsoft Windows Server 2008 online training course is designed for students who work in complex computing environments of medium-sized to large companies, and who plan to take the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) 70-643. Some of the topics that will be covered include configuring IIS 7.0, creating and configuring Web Sites, managing Application Pools, securing Web sites and Web servers.
Once you have completed Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuring an Applications Infrastructure Part 1 and Part 2 the final course in this series is Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuring an Applications Infrastructure Part 3. In Configuring an Applications Infrastructure Part 3 course you will learn how to secure a web server, manage IIS 7.0 through IIS Manager, configure using command-line tools, tune for improved preformance, prepare and implement an IIS 7.0 Web Farms and proactively manage IIS 7.0. In addition, you wil learn how to implement and configure FTP 7.0, deploy SMTP server and install and configure Windows media services. In preparation for Part 2 of this course, you should have taken Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - Configuring an Applications Infrastructure Part 1.
