Darren Booy
Following a period of nine years as a Technical Research Fellow within the System Engineering and Construction Management and Engineering Departments at the University of Reading working on an array of highly complex technical projects. Working as a Project Management Consultant/Trainer with an international management and coaching consultant, I have aided organisations in numourous projects utilising the PRINCE2 Methodology within Europe. This has also involved training and coaching services in Project Management and Managing Risk effectively. I also have extensive experience in working within the software and business sector, with companies such as Microsoft, Dalika, Arup, Thales and FSI solutions responding to client's needs by the implementation of software engineering plans, technical architectures as well implementing project management skills such as setting quality, analysing risk, meeting acceptance criteria, client appraisals & negotiation, setting key performance indicators and reporting to stakeholders (scope, training documentation, schedule, budget). My PhD which relates to "Making Public Interfaces Accessible through an Adaptive Smart Card System" with the department of Systems Engineering. Whilst at the University I have completed numourous academic responsibilities in the form of lecturing, MSc Student Supervision and scientific conference workshops and lectures.
