Course Description
In this Windows 2008 Server online training course, you will gain an understanding of Windows 2008 Server installation and configuration from the ground up. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Configuration Part 1 helps prepare you for the 70-640 exam as well as for the real world. In this first part of a three part course, we will focus on installing a Windows 2008 Server, Administration, Working with Users and Groups, managing computer accounts, working with the Core Server and implementing a Windows 2008 Server Active Directory infrastructure. The skills learned include installing, configuring, modifying Windows 2008 Server and installing the Core Server. Also students will have the knowledge to implement and maintain Users and Group accounts. Students will gain the knowledge of how to work with computer accounts and the importance of this entity.
Once you have completed Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 1 the next course in this series is Microsoft Windows Server 2008-Configuration Part 2. In Configuration Part 2 the focus will be on Windows 2008 Server administration, group policy, security, deploying software through GPO and auditing, and have the knowledge to implement and maintain DNS.
